This guide links to RVezy, an RV rental marketplace. If you book or list through those links, RV Park Camping may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Facts about RVezy below come from its own help center and published pages, checked October 2026. RVezy can change them, so confirm on your quote.
The nightly rate on an RV listing is the headline, not the bill. A real rental total stacks up five or six separate lines: the host's charges, RVezy's service fee, a protection plan, taxes, the campsite (which isn't part of the rental at all), and whatever you burn in fuel and propane. Here's every line, who sets it, and a calculator to add up your own quote.
Budget the rental as the nightly rate times nights, plus host fees, delivery, RVezy's service fee (at least $15 a night for motorhomes, $10 for trailers), the per-night protection plan and tax. Then add the campsite, fuel and propane on top, and keep room on your card for the security deposit hold.
Every line on the bill
| Line | Set by | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Nightly rate | Host | The listing price, sometimes with weekend, holiday or weekly rates and a minimum stay. |
| Host fees and add-ons | Host | Prep or cleaning fees, kitchen kits, bedding, pet fees, bike racks. Optional or required, per listing. |
| Delivery | Host | Usually per mile with a minimum. Only if you choose it. |
| RVezy service fee | RVezy | A charge on the rental amount, paid at booking. RVezy says it varies with lead time, local availability, vehicle value and trip length. Minimum $15/night for motorhomes, $10/night for trailers. |
| Protection plan | RVezy | Stationary, Basic, Standard or Premium, priced per night by the RV's value, age, size and location. Exempt from the service fee. |
| Taxes | Location | Set by the state or province where the RV is located. |
| Security deposit | Host | A hold, not a charge. Placed three days before the trip, released after close-out. Exempt from the service fee. |
| Post-trip charges | Host | Extra mileage, generator hours, cleaning or tolls, requested after the trip. RVezy adds a 5% transaction charge to these. |

Costs that aren't on the quote
The RVezy quote covers the RV. These come on top:
- The campsite. Booked and paid directly with the park. Utilities like metered electric can be extra at some parks, especially on longer stays. Our seasonal site pricing guide covers that.
- Fuel. For a motorhome that's the RV itself. For a trailer it's your tow vehicle, which burns noticeably more fuel while towing.
- Propane and dump fees. Ask how full the tanks will be at pickup and what level the host expects at return. Some parks charge to use the dump station if your site has no sewer.
- Your own gear. If the listing doesn't include a sewer hose, water pressure regulator or leveling blocks, you may need to bring them. RVGear.co's first-trip gear checklist sorts the essentials from the nice-to-haves.
Add up your real rental bill
Copy the numbers from your RVezy quote and the campground's confirmation. The values preloaded below are examples to show how the math works. They are not RVezy prices.
What cancelling would cost
Price the downside too. RVezy's guest cancellation policy works on timing:
| When you cancel | You lose | Always refunded |
|---|---|---|
| More than 30 days out | Service fee and its tax | Add-ons, prep fee, delivery fee and protection plan, plus their tax |
| 30 to 8 days out | 50% of the rental amount, plus service fee and tax | |
| 7 days or less | 100% of the rental amount, plus service fee and tax |
There's a 24-hour grace period after the host accepts, as long as the trip is more than 24 hours away. If the host cancels, you get a full refund, fees and taxes included. The campground's cancellation rules are separate. Line the two up before you book either one.
Honest ways to spend less
- Use the code. RVEZYUSA25 takes $25 off a U.S. booking (RVEZYCAN25 in Canada), per RVezy's affiliate offer. RVezy sets the terms at checkout.
- Go smaller. Trailers carry a lower RVezy minimum service fee ($10 a night vs. $15), and trailers and campervans have lower deductibles than Class A and C motorhomes. Smaller rigs usually cost less in fuel too.
- Stay put. A delivered trailer at one park replaces route fuel with a single delivery fee, and a stationary plan fits it. See how delivery works.
- Travel off-peak. Weekday and shoulder-season trips often mean easier campsites and more listings to choose from.
- Read the allowances. Plan the route against the mileage and generator allowance instead of paying overage plus the 5% transaction charge afterward.
- Protect the deposit. Photograph everything at pickup and return, follow the return rules, and you avoid the charge people forget to budget for.
Questions people ask
What is RVezy's service fee for renters?
RVezy charges renters a service fee on the rental amount at booking. It says the fee varies with lead time, local availability, vehicle value and trip length, so the exact rate shows on your quote. The minimum is $15 a night for motorhomes and $10 a night for trailers. Rental insurance and the security deposit are exempt.
Is the security deposit part of the cost?
No. The host sets the amount and RVezy places it as a temporary hold on your card three days before the trip, then releases it after the booking closes. You only lose part of it for damage or rule breaks the host documents.
Does the RV rental price include the campsite?
No. Campsites are booked and paid separately, directly with the campground. That includes delivered rentals: the host brings the RV, but the site is your reservation.
Can a host charge me after the trip?
Yes, for documented items like extra mileage, generator use, cleaning or tolls. RVezy adds a 5% transaction charge to those post-trip requests. If you disagree with a charge, RVezy lets you open a dispute during the review process.
