This guide links to RVezy, an RV rental marketplace. If you book or list through those links, RV Park Camping may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Facts about RVezy below come from its own help center and published pages, checked October 2026. RVezy can change them, so confirm on your quote.
An RV is an expensive thing to leave parked. RVezy's pitch to owners is that the average RV is used only a few weeks a year, and that renting it out can cover the cost of owning it. For some owners that's true. For others the cleaning, scheduling and wear aren't worth what's left after fees. Here's an honest way to decide which group you're in.
Renting out makes the most sense if your RV is under RVezy's insurance age limits, sits unused through the busy season, and you live where renters are looking. You also need the time for handovers and cleaning. RVezy keeps a 20% service charge on the nightly rate and add-ons, so work out your number after fees and costs, not from the gross.
The case for renting it out
- It already costs you money. Storage, insurance, registration and loan payments keep running whether the RV moves or not.
- You stay in control. On RVezy you set the price and dates, and every booking starts as a request you can accept or decline.
- Listing is free. RVezy charges nothing to list. Its service charge applies only to paid bookings.
- Coverage during the rental. When your RV qualifies, RVezy's commercial policy applies for the rental period, and your personal policy picks back up when it ends. The insurance guide covers the details.
- Payouts arrive early in the trip. RVezy's May 2026 materials say payouts start on the rental start date. An older help-center page says 24–48 hours after the start, with funds arriving within 3–5 business days.
The case against
- Wear is real. Strangers learning your slides, awning, water heater and black tank will be harder on them than you are. Motorhomes also add engine miles and tire wear.
- Turnovers are work. Every booking means a handover, a joint inspection, cleaning, restocking and often dumping tanks. If you deliver, add towing time both ways.
- Peak season is your season too. The weekends renters want are usually the ones you'd use it yourself.
- Disputes happen. RVezy has a resolution process and requires a joint inspection form at handover, but a damage claim still costs you time and, possibly, a repair wait that blocks future bookings.
- Not every RV qualifies for RVezy's insurance. See the limits below.

The payout guarantee, according to RVezy's May 2026 blog, covers a confirmed booking you can't fulfill because a previous rental's claim has the RV out of action. It's not protection against ordinary renter cancellations, which follow the cancellation policy.
Does your RV qualify?
RVezy's help center lists these conditions for its insurance:
- The RV is registered to someone 21 or older.
- Motorhomes are no older than 20 years; trailers no older than 25. RVezy says new listings over those limits may be held for review.
- It's listed in the state or province where it's registered.
- It already has a personal insurance policy.
- In the U.S., coverage applies to motorhomes and trailers valued up to $125,000.
Claims also depend on paperwork: an approved driver on the booking, an approved insurance application, a rental agreement signed by both parties, and departure and return inspections completed by both of you.
What would you actually keep?
Plug in your own assumptions. The preloaded numbers are examples, not RVezy data or a forecast. Booked nights is the number that matters most, and the one to be most conservative about.
Questions to answer before listing
- Will your lender, insurer and storage allow it?Read your loan terms and call your personal insurer. Some storage lots and HOAs restrict commercial pickups or renter access. Get it in writing.
- Which dates are you willing to give up?Block your own trips first. Only the leftover dates are for sale.
- Who does turnovers? You, a partner, or a paid cleaner. Price it into the calculator above either way.
- Will you deliver?Delivery widens your market to people without tow vehicles, but it adds your time and towing wear. RVezy adds a 5% charge on the delivery fee you collect.
- What are your house rules?Pets, smoking, generator hours, mileage allowance, tank condition at return. Write them into the listing so the deposit conversation is easy.
- What about taxes?Rental income is generally taxable. Talk to a tax professional about how to report it and what you can deduct.
RVezy says owners can earn up to $1,400 a week. That's RVezy's marketing figure, an upper bound rather than an average. Your result depends on your RV, your local demand and how many nights actually book. Use the estimator with conservative booked-night numbers instead.
